GABRIELLA KARP is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She's been playing guitar and singing for 5 years and recently began writing her own music. She's been playing shows and multiple open mics around Portland, gaining a local following. Her music is most closely described as a mix of alternative, folk pop, and soul.
NATHAN TUCKER, the singer/songwriter behind the band Cool American, specializes in communicating this end-of-the-night ennui. He has the insight of a pop troubadour; his songs reveal astute observations with a transparency that makes his lyrics—which at first may seem world-weary—hopeful and comforting. Tucker’s throaty voice narrates familiar feelings, making it extremely difficult to avoid empathy or self-reflection as he sings about topics ranging from getting the news about a hospital-bound friend to seeing a band play an all ages spot that will be closed in a year.
JACK MCMAHON has been a performing singer-songwriter for all of his adult life. From his teenage days with New Jersey band “The Nightwatch,” and his early stints as a solo artist in and around NYCʼs Greenwich Village and Upper Eastside clubs, Jack has always given the music priority over antics and image. His colorful voice brought him to the attention of Brill Building songwriters, for whom he worked as a demo singer, and Columbia Records, for whom he cut some of his own songs. Eventually Jack headed West and landed in Portland, where he quickly became a regular on the local music scene fronting “Tracks,” “The Chameleons,” “The Jack McMahon Band,” and working as a solo act. With four albums to his credit, McMahonʼs latest offering “Day For Night” features his skills as a songwriter, singer & guitarist.
