By the time this band (formed in Chicago in '65 by vocalist/harpist Paul Butterfield) released their last Elektra album in 1971, they had amassed one of the most vital new blues catalogs in music, as well as launching the careers of future stars Michael Bloomfield, Elvin Bishop and David Sanborn.
