Music Millennium

This hmGold reissue combines two previously available Telemann discs. The first presents recorder virtuoso Maurice Steger, performing a selection of works including celebrated overture nicknamed "Hamburg Ebb and Flow," which stands out as perhaps one of the most accomplished orchestral works Telemann ever produced. The second disc features Telemann Suites performed by the Akademie fur Alte Musik Berlin, which, full of humor, imagination and impish gaiety, prove that the composer was capable of writing against the trends of his time.
