UK 7-inch pressing. British experimental-techno funketeer Jamie Lidell made a name for himself giving mesmerizing live multi-media performances in which the singer continually looped his own effects-laden vocals and beat boxing until a dense sonic landscape emerged. However, Lidell switched gears in 2005, releasing MULTIPLY, a more traditional Prince-inspired pop album steeped in classic funk and R&B, and marked by Lidell's confident and refreshingly irony-free performances. In addition to his solo work, Lidell is well-known for his collaborations with Christian Vogel as the duo SuperCollider.
