Raelyn has performed harp professionally in the California Bay Area and the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan area for numerous parties, special events, and orchestra/choir groups, including: the Nova Vista Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Don Haneke Chorale, San Jose State Choraliers, Peninsula Youth Orchestra, Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, San Jose Youth Orchestra, and the Winchester Orchestra. She has appeared as the regular harpist at San Jose, CA area restaurants 'Gervais' and 'Pastas'. More recently, Raelyn has been performing with Felina's Arrow at venues such as the Expo Center and the Wonder Ballroom for the Siren Nation Music Festival. She has also been performing with singer/songwriter Jon Garcia at various clubs in Portland, OR. Both groups offer indie folk rock styles with a hint of latin and jazz. Raelyn was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she attended the School of the Arts. Her harp studies began there at age 11. She has studied with Jeanne Henderson, graduate of the Julliard School of Music under Marcel Grandjany, and Karen Thielen, graduate of Boston University, under Lucile Lawrence. Raelyn studied Music Composition at Belmont University, in Nashville, Tennessee, where the Belmont New Music Ensemble performed three of her compositions (two for harp). She graduated from San Jose State University, CA with a degree in Harp Performance. Raelyn self-released a CD entitled 'Archipelago'in 2005 featuring her solo harp compositions. She is currently working on material for a new CD. Other recordings she has been involved with include, 'The Tide Decides' with Ethan Mathews of 'Echo Us' and 'The Lake' with Jon Garcia. Those recordings are due to be released sometime in 2009.
