Fear of the Known found it's roots in the 90s metal group Decadence. After the eventual split of Decadence, Dan Ledgerwood (drums) and Thomas Yarbrough (guitar) reunited several years later with an updated musical direction and formed Fear of the Known. The project started slowly until John Oakley (vocals/guitar) was recruited and Fear of the Known started shaping heavy, riff driven music. Finally, Chad Sandberg (bass) brought a low end thunder and Fear of the Known started to set Houston on fire, playing gigs at Jet Lounge, Fitzgeralds and the Engine Room (rip). With the recently completed debut album, 'Blood Ties', Fear of the Known is ready to blast onto a wider scene.
